Kevin Evely: I Am Hobo

Kevin, aka Hobo, had a warped sense of humor. Kevin usually had some idle time during the winter since several of his activities were seasonal. During the winter of 2007 he got a hold of a video camera and he had a blast! Kevin recorded a load of short "I Am Hobo" clips during 2007 and 2008. Being the enterprising individual that he is, he launched the IamHobo.com website. He bought silk screening equipment and started to offer clothing with the logo online. You can still obtain a variation of the I AM HOBO clothing from this website. Kevin also ran some promotional ads for dating websites at IamHobo.com.

Hobo was the darker side of Kevin. Kevin was hard working and one of the most honest people that I have ever met. However, we all have an inner voice. Most people keep it within. Kevin let his out in the Hobo clips.

Kevin usually worked seven days a week every week. However, he always tried not to start his day before noon and he loved his 12 pack at night. His humor was a little on the dark side and very funny since it was based on truth however loosely. Kevin had great plans for Hobo but some of his less entertaining activities kept him from dedicating the time to make it happen before his passing.

To Kevin, Hobo portrayed an attitude and a lifestyle. He once asked me to look up Hobo in the dictionary. Here is what it said: Independent thinker, self induced retirement. For independence of life, enjoyment of freedom, and self-reliance in caring for ones' self and ones' personal finances is the basic essence of the Hobos way of life. In other words... a "I don't give a shit" attitude. I take care of myself and do as I please. I have to admit, that does sound like Kevin.

We went ahead and edited the short clips together to make it into one I Am Hobo collection video. To watch it, just click on the film strip. We have also made the video available for you to download and save to your computer. The sound quality throughout the video varies. It's great inside but during the outside segments you may need to adjust your volume. A word of caution, this video contains adult humor, language and subject matter.
